Dating Photography
The essentials you must have on every internet dating site for singles are a profile and a picture. These items are the apparatus you have to reveal your personality and catch the attention of other singles in order to make an online connection. Recently, professional dating photography has become a field practiced by top of the line studio photographers. With the mainstream public now “Internet dating” the techniques you need to have to create a successful online dating experience. The most important tool you need to know about is that of dating photos.
The Do’s and Don’ts of dating photos
DON’T ever post an old photograph of yourself. It’s challenging to trust people online since you don’t know them. Don’t display dating photos of yourself that aren’t accurately representative.
DO post a professional and recent photograph of yourself. If it’s workable visit a studio photographer so you can have a high quality representation of yourself that stands out online.
DON’T put up a profile missing a picture. Everyone has at least one picture of himself or herself. People tend to assume the worst when you don’t post a picture in thier profile, so why let them? Post a picture. It won’t hurt a bit!
DO dress well and attractively in your photograph. In your picture get dressed as if you were going on a first date. This is because it’s your first chance to actually get the other person’s attention.
DON’T post pictures of you with too much flesh showing. What might be a great or artistic shot won’t get as many hits as you might think. Some people see too much skin as improper and you don’t want to give anyone the wrong impression!
DO post many different pictures of yourself. Looking good for one shot isn’t that challenging. Show perspective dates that you can look great in varying situations. You can post a photograph of yourself doing something humorous to show you’re a fun loving person or a picture of yourself taking part in your favorite activity.
DON’T post a lot of photos of your dog or cat. Unless this is a “pet owner dating site”, it’s better to show those pictures to your date once you know them a bit better. Of course you can talk about your pet in your profile but displaying a bunch of pet photos tends to send the wrong message. You don’t want your future date thinking they’ll be competing against your pet or that you get along better with animals than with people.
